Beyonce’s halftime performance was so electrifying it took the power out of the Superdome.

After Beyonce’s halftime show, which included a reunion with her band mates from Destiny’s Child and hits like Single Ladies, Halo and Crazy in Love, the lights went out in the stadium 90 seconds into play.

The 34-minute Super Bowl blackout silenced sports commentators while opening the lines to conspiracy theories and the hashtag #lightsout.

Here’s a few being thrown around on social media:

@Crumbsey tweeted: “Dad’s Conspiracy Theory of the Day: the Super Bowl blackout was caused by Chinese hackers…everything adds up and it makes perfect sense :D ”

The proud Star Wars fans of Death Star PR tweeted, “That’s no power outage. It’s a space station!”

While others put the blame on our presidents past and present.

Obama said we were gonna cut spending didn’t think lights was at the top of his list #blackout

Fans of the Baltimore Ravens pointed fingers at fans of the San Francisco 49ers for causing the Super Bowl blackout. The rumor was a 49er fan pulled the fire alarm switch that cut the lights to the stadium in the third quarter of the game. Another was the 49ers needed a timeout and somehow made it happen with the blackout.

In the angst of uncertainty behind the Super Bowl blackout, some people tried to pin it to terrorists but the FBI quickly scratched that off their list.

Officials ultimately said the Super Bowl blackout was caused by an “abnormality” in the electrical system.
